Hiya,
I'm definitely going. Not only that but I sent off my clearance application today so you may get to see I exist and even meet me before then too!
I agree with Suzijedi, flights are horrendously expensive. For various reasons I even paid for the more expensive direct flight - £760. Very hard to justify spending so much, but I do know it will cost me more in regret, missed adventure, etc. And what good is having money but no fun?
I've wanted to go to Miami and the Keys so I'm going fly in a couple of weeks before CV, drive around Florida for a week or so, do Orlando stuff for a bit then finish with CV.

I've given up on CV- the flight prices have put me off, so I've cancelled my room booking. I'm disappointed, but I went to CIV so I can say I've experienced it. For those of you that do go, you'll love it!  There's a music festival on the same weekend in the UK, so I'll probably go to that, then I'm taking Freddie to Amsterdam a few days after, for his first ever trip abroad (bless him)!
It was cheaper to get a flight to CIV, on the other side of the US, than to get to Florida....but I guess Florida's a big holiday destination so that's where the $ is

Greg do you have a video camera?? i was thinking of an idea that you can make a 'celebration-video diary' for us at the Elstree base??
Off course with your wicked sense of humour as commentary it would make an awesome addition

Hiya,
I'm already getting excited and a bit nervous. I'm doing some pre-trip Florida research at the moment - watching the original Miami Vice series.
Sheraz - tempted to video but if I did I bet I'd spend so much time videoing I'd miss everything. I'll try and do a daily update with lots of pics though.
Suzi - I'll make sure George is coming to Celebration Newcastle. Think he'll OK Lucastle Brown Ale as the official celebration drink?
Johanna - I'll definitely be trying to find as many of the great people I met at JC at CV, yourself included. I had a terrific time at JC and that was due to the fantastic people. It's the people I'm looking forward to more than anything else at CV - even more than seeing Unky G.

It was 36C when I got off the plane yesterday!
Have even signed up to a couple of shifts on the RL room on the Sat so should have plenty of pics. Will start new thread with blog closer to event but right now just enjoying a coffee at ... Starbucks of course! Really wish everyone was here too.
